ITINERARY 3 nights San José -2 nights Tortuguero Park -2 nights Arenal Volcano. Let's decide together the best option for kosher food during the trip.
Sunday-Arrival San Josè
Arrival and reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. At the airport you will be identified by our guide. Pay attention to your names on the sign. Meeting with our kosher assistant for food delivery.
Monday-Tortuguero National Park
In the morning, a guide from the Lodge in Tortuguero will pick up you at the hotel. We will make a stop for an excursion to the banana plantation. You will have your kosher breakfast in the hotel. Arrival at the pier and start cruising the channels of the national park until you arrive at the lodge.
Tuesday-Tortuguero National Park
Accompanied by our guide, we will board our boat to the world famous Tortuguero National Park. As the boat slowly cruises through the canals, we will have chance to observe a great variety of animals such as monkeys, iguanas, etc. The guide will show you the flora and fauna of the national park, one of the most attractive in Central America.
Wednesday-Arenal Volcano
In the morning, the return to the pier begins. Around midday we'll have a kosher box lunch in a typical restaurant and then the connection to the Arenal Volcano. (La Fortuna). Arrival at the hotel and room assignment. Free evening to make a visit to the Pueblo La Fortuna. Thermal pools, volcanic clay baths and naturalistic trails are included.
Thursday-Arenal Volcano
Free day to make excursions to the Volcano. In the hotel you can have various options, or our correspondent will advise you about activities in the area. We recommend “Hiking to the Volcano”.
Friday-San Josè
After breakfast, transfer to San José is scheduled. Free activity during Shabbat. If you desire you can contact a member of the Jewish Community for more information.
Saturday-San Josè
By agreeing with the Jewish Community of Costa Rica it's possible to organize various activities during your stay in San Josè.
Sunday-Transfer to the airport
In the morning Interbus will offer you the transfer to San José airport for your flight back home or any other destination.

Kosher food
Kosher food is frozen, and you can take it with you during the trip. Our kosher representative in Costa Rica can deliver your food directly to the airport upon your arrival or meeting you at your hotel. Our drivers, during the transport have been trained for these cases. The hotels put the food in the refrigerator and every day they will provide to serve you, they are able to receive kosher customers. If you prefer we can arrange a microwave and refrigerator in your room if you wish to administer the food yourself. Rabin in Costa Rica authorizes us to catering for this occasion.
