Since 1987 Altura Tour has been in hospitality tourism in Latin America. We are focused on slow tourism and an approach to local communities. Our tours can be free departure all the year, and different from the customary tourist route, with a complete range of plans to avoid to standardize massively your vacation.

CLIME
From December to April the season is dry, from May to November it is rainy season. Especially in coastal areas it is therefore possible to take advantage of a mild and sunny climate throughout the year. Costa Rica is divided in two by a cross-mountainous rift, Central Cordillera and Guanacaste to the north and the Cordillera of Talamanca to the south.
CURRENCY
The national currency of Costa Rica is the Colon. Most international credit cards, (Visa/Master Card/American Express/Diners Club), are accepted. The larger cities and tourist destinations of Costa Rica provide 24/7 Automated Teller Machines (ATM).
