At the height of 8,500 feet and surrounded by green forest and an emerald green lake, Poas is one of the few active volcanoes in the Americas. Famous for its geyser like eruptions of gas and ash, Poas boasts one of the largest craters in the world. Return via the artisan town of Sarchí to view and purchase the hand-painted oxcarts and other handicrafts. We will visit the Metal Church at Grecia.
